God seeks to use those who are willing. He may not always choose to use the most talented, the best-looking, or even the most prepared; He simply looks for a willing heart. Esther Pontius ’46, who would come to be called “half Billy Graham and half Annie Oakley,” is an example of how God can mightily use someone who is simply willing and dedicated to serving Him wherever He may lead.
Raised in Lewiston, ID and saved before her 16th birthday, Esther came to Moody seeking to do the Lord’s work. While she thought about going to several schools, the Lord clearly led her to study at Moody.
